Andy Warhol has been on of my favorite artists, well, for as long as I can remember. Growing up in Pittsburgh, the Warhol Museum was sort of a second home to me in many ways. So, when I saw that there was an exhibit of his work from the 60’s & 70’s centered around one of his long time friends, the late-great Elizabeth Taylor, being held at the Gagosian Gallery in New York I thought it a perfect opportunity to once again see one of my favorite artists. Especially since this is the first time these peaces have ever been shown together.
If you are in NYC be sure to swing by this amazing gallery for an amazing treat.
This exhibit will be up until October 22nd for your viewing pleasure.
THE LATE GREAT ELIZABETH TAYLOR
She was unquestionably gorgeous. I can think of no other word to describe a combination of plentitude, frugality, abundance, tightness. She was lavish. She was a dark unyielding largesse. She was, in short, too bloody much.
