Now you may know this man, Rogan Gregory, as the creative director behind the birth of fashion brand Edun, or possibly through his namesake brand Rogan – remember those amazing basics? – or even the organic and sustainably sourced label Loomstate.
You might also be familiar with his home goods. The lamps, chairs, tables, bags and other necessities that he strips down to their basic principles, giving you the most minimalistic perspective you could possibly want, while somehow still having loads of character.
It is in this same vain that Mr. Gregory approaches his art. His art being (at least right now) his series of bronze sculptures that he debuted last fall at R & Company’s The Objects Biennial. Each piece looks like a new attempt at redefining himself, similarly to each new project he takes on, stripped down to the basics and then fine-tuned and carefully executed to deliver something beautiful. Each piece is unique, with custom patinas, that will make a purchase difficult – unless of course you have the budget for more than one.
Rogan’s sculptures can be purchased at 1stdibs.com.
