This ever so stylish brunette beauty has been passionate about both fashion and animal rights for as long as she can remember. In 2012, after 10 years working in the fashion industry, Morgan stepped out on her own and combined her two passions to launch her Freedom of Animals line, which has received raving reviews by Vogue, Elle, Style.com, and Harpers Bazaar (just to name a few). Surf Collective recently caught up with Morgan to find out what makes her such a force of nature… Thanks Morgan!!

Where did it all start?
Freedom of Animals was born on a trip with my boyfriend at the time in the Canary Islands, where he was surfing and I was pondering life. I wanted to move to Kenya to work with elephants and he didn’t want me to! We decided that developing a company, a product, based in NYC would possibly be a better way to impact the lives and the future lives of animals worldwide, so I returned to NYC the following week and the research began!
What is your favorite city and neighborhood?
Well I love to travel so this is a difficult question to answer. I love NYC because its been my home for 12 years and I’ve been in the East Village for most of that time…but getting away and seeing the world is my favorite thing to do. I love Cape town and Lima, I love Paris and New Delhi and every place in between.
What is your favorite hotel?
I’ve been to a few incredible and memorable hotels, from The Imperial in New Delhi and the Lake Palace in Udaipur, to the Bonito Pacifico in Mexico and the Hotel B in Lima.
Your favorite restaurant and dish?
Coming from a vegetarian this may be a bit boring but I am obsessed with the Macroplate atSouen in the east village.
This may sound annoying but I love the Bowery Hotel
Favorite vacation location?
I don’t usually go back to the same place more than once but I love anywhere that is warm and either on the ocean or in the mountains. I love Colorados Nicaragua and Sacred Valley Peru.
