Finding the best waves was just made easier today by our friends over at Smashing Boxes – introducing CRNT, the first surfing app for the Apple Watch.
CRNT lets users view current surf conditions at a glance directly on their Apple Watch, iPhone or Android device. The CRNT app pulls thousands of data points from NOAA buoys in North America, and includes prime breaks in Hawaii, California, Long Island and New Jersey. The interface is sleek and uncluttered, letting the user seamlessly access their favorite surf locations and navigate through temperature, wind, and water metrics with just a tap of their finger. “The design of the data allows for the information to be fluid and forever-changing,” Sald Raleigh Felton, Director of Design for CRNT, “Between the wind speed, direction, time of day and the tide graph, surfers will have a unique experience almost every time they check the app.”
So no more wading through data-heavy websites, calling friends or blindly jumping from one spot to another hoping for a good break. And starting today you can download the CRNT app via the Apple Store or through Google Play.
